Reform club Visit
Thursday 10 January 2019

10th January 2019 at 10:30

Please join us for our first visit of 2019 when we tour The Reform Club.

The Reform Club was founded in 1836, in Pall Mall, in the centre of what is often called London's Clubland. Designed by the leading architect of the day, Charles Barry, the Club is as impressive now as when it opened in 1841. Membership was restricted to those who pledged support for the Great Reform Act of 1832, and the many MPs and Whig peers among the early members developed the Club as the political headquarters of the Liberal Party.

The Reform Club is no longer associated with any particular political party, and now serves a purely social function. Today’s Reformers are men and women drawn from many backgrounds and a wide field of professional life.

We will meet just inside the main entrance in Pall Mall. Coffee and biscuits will be served.

The tour will last approximately an hour and a half.
Numbers for this visit are limited to 20, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

The cost for this visit to The Reform Club is £25 per person (non-refundable). Please make cheques out to TASHH and send them to: Gordon Rickard, 11 Dunstan Road, London NW11 8AG. Tel: 020 8455 7620; 07813 650085.
